  • @the_beverleybarnweddingvenue

Wear your new shoes in before the wedding (on carpet only) no nasty blisters here ! Create a Pinterest board too.

  • @keyisinthedetail

    1. In the planning process gather as much inspo as possible to avoid rushing your decisions. From inspiration often comes recommendations which will ensure you are working with experienced suppliers.

    2. Throughout your wedding day RELAX and ENJOY. You’ve been through all the pressures and stresses in the planning process, this is the day where you trust everything will fall into place because trust us it will and all you have to worry about it enjoying yourself and making memories to last a life time!

  • @TheLittleWeddingHelper

A few of my couples were worried about not getting married at the same time of year and so their original colours or theme not looking right.

" If you are getting married at a different time of the year to your original date don’t delete that Pinterest board quite yet! Just because the weather might be different outside does not mean you have to change everything inside! There is a reason you loved those colours or seasonal touches so it can be a case of just changing a few details. Adding a warmer tone to your flowers? Adding a different metallic element so swapping out silver for rose gold. Try not to add more stress to the current situation by changing everything. Step back, reassess, talk to your florist for reassurance and ideas, chat to your stylist about what could be change with minimal effort but still an amazing look"

  • @thebohobrideguide

Well the piece of advice that would link nicely to the launch of The Boho Bride Guide would be around photography (episode 2), to ask your photographer how they intend to back up their photo content both on the day of the wedding, and through the editing process. This seems to be a recurring worst nightmare that a good few brides have dealt with in recent years! A venue decor tip from me (episode 4) to make the most of your venue floral decor, think about what floral installations can be used at the ceremony, and then be transferred to you celebration venue, reduce waste and save money! Whilst maintaining maximum visual impact!

  • @emmatyler_makeup

I would say skin care leading up to your wedding day is a must! Hydration is a key factor in your skin looking glowy and radiant on your big day. The better you look after your skin the nicer your make up will look!

  • @oaklands_thegrandlodge

Don’t put too much pressure on yourself, ask for help where you can. And remember to enjoy every minute!

  • @beyondtheframephotography

ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS! Engagement sessions save the day when it comes to getting gorgeous looking wedding photos if you hate posing. What’s better than having a dummy run before the wedding? Engagement sessions are the perfect opportunity to get to know your photographer in a relaxed and casual setting and air your fears and feelings about posed photos. You’ll be able to see what it’s like in front of the camera and how totally not scary it is when you have the right photographer there with you.

  • @dreamboatsandcarousels

If possible try to visit your venue before the wedding at the same time you would be getting married to see where the light hits etc (especially if you’re ceremony is outdoors, so you won’t be squinting facing the direct sunlight and can position the ceremony accordingly). Even better if your wedding is planned over a year away to go the same month the year before. I find it helps couples envisage the day better! -another tip is if you don’t have a planner or coordinator on the day, ask a friend or family member if they’d mind collecting up little items for mementos of the day (menu settings, spare confetti pouch etc) -as hard as it can be, try not to worry too much about getting stains on your wedding dress! ...you don’t want it to affect your enjoyment of the big day!

  • @nataliehewittweddings

    ONE – TO HAVE LUNCH

TWO – PENS FOR THE GUEST BOOK

    THREE – A CAKE KNIFE

FOUR – ASK GUESTS THEIR DIETARY REQUIREMENTS

FIVE – TO TAKE A FEW MOMENTS TOGETHER ON THE DAY

  • @littlewoldvineyard

Take advice from professionals who have done it before - if your looking at pitching up on your own land, make sure you take advice. What may seem like a easy task, actually has lots of things you need to consider. From electric, to water, glass collecting/cleaning and more . . . Things you might take for granted in a building aren’t always so easy outside. Don’t stress yourself with it. Take advice! We’re all here to help! Tips in general: on the day schedule a few minutes for you to spend away from the party (maybe at a photo location or something) just to take it all in. Maybe take a bottle or a glass to toss that it’s all actually happening. Before you know it, the day will be over

  • @danielurbenphotography

So my top tip is to check the ventilation in any hotel room you are getting ready in. Many many hotel rooms don’t have air-con and the windows only open a crack. In summertime, this can get crazy hot once you get a bride, a mum or two, a few bridesmaids, hair and make up team, as well as photographer and videographer. Prep is often spread across two or three rooms, but it’s def worth checking the ventilation and maybe bringing some fans to help keep cool.

  • @nataliehamiltonphotography A good playlist in the morning when you’re getting glammed up with your girls is a must.. why not ask your MOH and bridesmaids to do this? They’ll love having a task to do ?? Have a pair of flats or sandals tucked away in the venue, these will come in very handy if you have a larger venue with grounds for your portrait session and for when your ready to throw some serious shapes on the dance floor ?? ??

  • @_inspireimages_

So our two top tips are: Wear comfy shoes and make sure you can go to the loo in your dress! No matter how goof you look if you’re not comfortable it’ll hold u back from going as wild as u can! Don’t stick to traditions, do what’s right for u, after you’ve said I do it’s just the best party you’ll ever go to so forget tradition and make it your day x

  • @swanlandmedia

Chunky Confetti! - It looks a lot better on camera than the small potpurri type. The more the better!

Lighters - Planning a sparkler shot? Then one lighter won't give you enough time to get them all lit in time. Grab a bunch.

Walk slow down the aisle, and same for confetti shots. It's good for your guests, photographers and videographers alike.
